Best Practice Guidance for the making and operation of Supervision Orders

The Public Law Working Group (PLWG) has set out best practice guidance (BPG) for the making and operation of Supervision Orders, which has been endorsed by the President of the Family Division, Sir Andrew McFarlane, in April 2023.
Please can you confirm if your Local Authority’s Children’s Services department has implemented the BPG?
Response:
Children subject to Supervision Orders are reviewed at set intervals in line with Child in Need Procedures. Thurrock has a reviewing officer line managed independently of the childcare team where the case is held.
